Wicked Workshops for the West End

Theatre Workout unveils new theatre workshop created for hit musical Wicked

London, May 21, 2009: Theatre Workout, the premier provider of West End workshops, is launching its latest offering, devised in association with Wicked London Production Ltd.

Theatre Workout’s newest workshop engages participants in theatre exercises which explore Wicked’s social themes of identity, individuality and standing up for what you believe in. It uses acting and musical theatre techniques to achieve an insight into the lead characters and their relationships. 

Theatre Workout will premiere the Wicked workshop with an exclusive preview presentation and drinks reception, followed by the show itself at Apollo Victoria Theatre, on Thursday, 21 May.

Company director, Adam Milford says: “We at Theatre Workout believe that groups of all ages can be given a deeper insight into live theatre through active participation. 

“We are proud to launch our Wicked workshop with a taster presentation, enabling attendees to join in the session and then go on to enjoy the show with a new appreciation.”

Wicked, based on the novel by Gregory Maguire, re-imagines the stories and characters in L. Frank Baum’s 'The Wonderful Wizard of Oz', and tells the untold story of the Witches of Oz, and how one came to be called 'good' and the other 'wicked'.
